- Very lucky to be healthy w/ DF508 R117H at this age. I have been running 3x week 3.5 miles 10.5 each week for 15 yrs Jerry is right on. Doc said one of the main reasons you are not sick. It's getting harder all the time but there is no other option. Bronchx, acute panktus,osteopina, no vas, one child that was quite a challenge and expensive IVF, bad neck and back from contact sports, fish, drag race, own musle cars, love the ocean. Great child and caring wife. 52 years old! ON the CF forum I'm "Shelbyville"

Thank you to all my Team Boomer team mates for the nice comments on my NYM '09 blog. I am happy that you enjoyed it.
Congratulations to everyone that completed their journey this past Sunday in New York, a journey that begun for us many months ago and ended in spectacular fashion in Central Park.
Thank you to the BEF and Team Boomer for providing us the platform to be able to raise money on behalf of a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

Thursday run......
As training winds down for me and for all the runners running on Sunday in New York, today called for a 4 miler. Overcast, mid 50;s, wind out of the NE at about 10mph.. The plan was to run easy for the majority of the run with about mile at marathon effort- the conditions led to faster paces than I planned but the effort was very easy. 2 miles at 7 min pace followed by 2 miles at 6.15 pace.... Many thanks for your comment on my blog. I apologize for the misunderstanding. I am not a CF'r but just a big supporter of the cause after helping out with the Team last year an meeting Jerry, Michaela, Seth and Sean.
Understanding your situation with your Achilles, my question to you is what access do you have to Cross Training facilities while you are rehabbing from the heel situation. This would go a long way to determining whether you can accomplish your mission of completing the 18 miler?
