We have 6 children between us 20, 19, 18, 15, 4, 11mths. I was wondering if you had any words of wisdom for me when it comes to our 11 mth old. All the others are old enough to understand what is going on. However our youngest Tyr will be the one who will grow up with Ari having CF. How do we make sure that we do it right? The last thing I would want is for Tyr to feel like he slipped through the gaps while we were dealing with all CF throws at us. We want them both to grow up loving life and each other as well as us..................I hope I explained that right.

About Me:
Update: Sadly, my beloved sister, Robyn, lost her battle with cystic fibrosis in November 2008. We are trying to figure out our new "normal" and remaining strong for her 4-year old daughter. The shock of her passing is incredible since she had always stayed one step ahead of the disease. We continue our Art for the Cure of Cystic Fibrosis event in her memory. She would be pleased to know that her family and friends will remain dedicated towards raising money for a cure or better control of CF.

I am the proud sister to Robyn who happens to have cystic fibrosis. Robyn is a beautiful and vibrant young woman who continually amazes me with her strength and determination. She is a wonderful mother to a beautiful 3-year old who helps keep her healthy by running around!!

As a family member to someone with CF, I am always doing my part to help raise awareness to the different organizations that conduct research towards a cure.

Congratulations to everyone that completed their journey this past Sunday in New York, a journey that begun for us many months ago and ended in spectacular fashion in Central Park.

Thursday run......

As training winds down for me and for all the runners running on Sunday in New York, today called for a 4 miler. Overcast, mid 50;s, wind out of the NE at about 10mph.. The plan was to run easy for the majority of the run with about mile at marathon effort- the conditions led to faster paces than I planned but the effort was very easy. 2 miles at 7 min pace followed by 2 miles at 6.15 pace....
