Wednesday run
It was moody blustery mild and damp on the Spring Lake/Belmar boardwalk this afternoon that was very enjoyable. 2.5 miles out and back into a headwind the first half and an average pace of 8.30 per mile- nice n easy- about an easier pace as I will run and it was very enjoyable as I watched an angry ocean aside me. I was happy to run into my friend Tim Mahoney who is also running NYC on Sunday and we had a chance to exchange thoughts and ideas and reflections on the race as we ran and all in all it was most enjoyable and I felt great.

Thursday run......
As training winds down for me and for all the runners running on Sunday in New York, today called for a 4 miler. Overcast, mid 50;s, wind out of the NE at about 10mph.. The plan was to run easy for the majority of the run with about mile at marathon effort- the conditions led to faster paces than I planned but the effort was very easy. 2 miles at 7 min pace followed by 2 miles at 6.15 pace....
