About Boomer Esiason - Football Career • Selected as the 37th pick in the 1984 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals from the University of Maryland • Veteran quarterback of 14 years with the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals (1984-1997) • NFL Most Valuable Player (1988) • Four-time Pro Bowl selection • The most prolific left-handed quarterback in NFL history when he retired in 1997. Career marks rank among the top ten in the NFL in all-time passing yards, career completions and career attempts. Led the Bengals to Super Bowl XXIII vs San Francisco in 1988. • Esiason set 17 school records for passing and total offense during an All-American career at the University of Maryland. He led the Terrapins to the Atlantic Coast Conference title and a Citrus Bowl berth in 1983.

Thank you to all my Team Boomer team mates for the nice comments on my NYM '09 blog. I am happy that you enjoyed it.
Congratulations to everyone that completed their journey this past Sunday in New York, a journey that begun for us many months ago and ended in spectacular fashion in Central Park.
Thank you to the BEF and Team Boomer for providing us the platform to be able to raise money on behalf of a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

Thursday run......

As training winds down for me and for all the runners running on Sunday in New York, today called for a 4 miler. Overcast, mid 50;s, wind out of the NE at about 10mph.. The plan was to run easy for the majority of the run with about mile at marathon effort- the conditions led to faster paces than I planned but the effort was very easy. 2 miles at 7 min pace followed by 2 miles at 6.15 pace....
