Westchester Toughman Half Iron Distance

On September 21, hundreds of triathletes will gather at Croton Point Park in Croton, NY to kick off Westchester County's very first half ironman triathlon, The Westchester Toughman.

Additionally, The Westchester Toughman will be awarding cash prizes to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall male and female participants totaling $3500.

Thank you to all my Team Boomer team mates for the nice comments on my NYM '09 blog. I am happy that you enjoyed it.
Congratulations to everyone that completed their journey this past Sunday in New York, a journey that begun for us many months ago and ended in spectacular fashion in Central Park.

Thursday run......

As training winds down for me and for all the runners running on Sunday in New York, today called for a 4 miler. Overcast, mid 50;s, wind out of the NE at about 10mph.. The plan was to run easy for the majority of the run with about mile at marathon effort- the conditions led to faster paces than I planned but the effort was very easy. 2 miles at 7 min pace followed by 2 miles at 6.15 pace....
